About Import Car Specialists

In Fremont, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. You can reach Import Car Specialists at (510) 744-1767; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 11 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Fremont and suggests consistent service.

Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Fremont is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Dong is the best. I live around the block from his shop. My engine light would not turn. He diagnosed it no problem. He fixed it so it doesn't stay on. NO CHARGE. I will now go to him in the future.

Dong is the most honest mechanic I have met. He is genuine, will tell you the truth and not recommend or perform unnecessary repairs. If you need auto repair services in Fremont, Import Car Specialists is the first company to call. With Dong, you will get highest quality workmanship, best rates and the right advice! That is so hard to get these days, thank you Dong!

Excellent service for 1/4 of the cost of the BMW dealer. This place gets you in and out quickly. An honest place with no hassle. Hard to find such a great place. I will never go back to the dealer. I would recommend this place for all your car needs.
